Minoan scripts. Three scripts found by Arthur Evans on blocks in Mycenean buildings at Knossos,Crete. The scripts are known as Minoan Hieroglyphics,Linear A and Linear B. It is thought the Minoans invented the earlier linear script (Linear A),which is thought to have been in use from around 1800 to 1450BC.
