Seated are (l-r) William Herschel,Neville Maskelyne and Edward Jenner,Henry Cavendish,John Dalton,Marc Brunel,Matthew Boulton and James Watt,then toward the right are Samuel Crompton,Charles Tennant,Edmund Cartwright,Francis Ronalds and Lord Stanhope. The figure at far right with his back turned to the artist is Joseph Bramah. Below the image are reproductions of the signatures of the sitters.
