Electrons from the electron gun (orange) and positrons from the positron source (green) are accelerated in the linear accelerator. In the PEP-II (large ring) the electrons (red ring) and positrons (yellow ring) are circulated in opposite directions. They collide in the BaBar detector (blue),creating B mesons and anti-B mesons.
