High-speed footage of a great tit (Parus major) bathing in a stone birdbath. It pauses to remove a birch bract that was floating in the water by flinging it away. The removal of the bract took place in less than a tenth of a second. Filmed at 1500 frames per second (slowed down 60 times). | |
