Medium shot of fire hose lava pouring over sea cliff on the slope of Kilauea volcano in Hawaii. Steam explosions occur as the lava comes in contact with the ocean creating a superheated cloud of hydrochloric acid. Fire hose lava occurs when a lava tube is exposed at a sea cliff. This cliff is approximately 40 meters high and the stream being created is roughly 2 meters in diameter where it first emerges, fanning out as it falls.
