Frozen portion of Niagara River below the American Falls in Niagara Falls, New York, USA, during record low temperatures. The American Falls is one of three falls collectively known as Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls were created during the Wisconsin glaciation about 10, 000 years ago by forces that also created the Great Lakes and the Niagara River. The Niagara River is 58 kilometres in length and connects Lake Erie to Lake Ontario, two of the Great Lakes. It s rapid flow makes it one of the best sources of hydroelectric power in the North America. Filmed in February 2015. | |
