Angiography video of abdominal aortography and visceral arteries in a 60-year-old patient with suspected IPMN (intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm). IPMN is a type of tumour that grows within in pancreatic ducts and if left untreated can develop into cancer. This view was obtained using the Seldinger technique, a medical procedure to obtain safe access to blood vessels and other hollow organs. The image shows normal visceral arteries and abdominal aorta, renal arteries, and iliac junction. Angiography is an imaging technique in which a radio-opaque contrast medium is injected into blood vessels to allow them to be seen on an X-ray. | |
